Ministry Placement
The Ministry Guidance Program provides placement assistance to ministry students by helping them develop their resumes and encouraging them to make themselves available for ministry positions. We partner with Kristen Howerton in Baylor's Career Center to ensure that our students are graduate school and employment ready. This service helps students gain practical experience and aids churches in finding needed leadership.
- Students will craft a ministry resume when they take REL 2480: Introduction to Ministry. They can also come by the Ministry Guidance office for a consult or book and appointment with Kristen Howerton in Baylor's Career Center. Instructions for preparing a letter and preparing a resume can be found in the links below.
- Students interested in placement opportunities should set up an account on Baylor's internal job board, Handshake. Once you are in the system, you will receive updates about jobs that match your ministry interests. You can also search the database and apply for open positions.
- Students interested in employment may also wish to check the Ministry Postings hosted by Truett's Office of Ministry Connection.
- Churches and other Christian non-profits interested in hiring Baylor undergraduate students should post their positions on Handshake.
