Biography

Jane Wilson has served as the Winfred and Elizabeth Moore Visiting Professor of Ministry Guidance since 2015. She served 20 years as the Youth Ministry Specialist for Texas Baptists (Baptist General Convention of Texas).  She also led the “Called” emphasis for Texas Baptists, networking and resourcing church staff members and their students who were sensing a call to vocational Christian ministry. Her professional life has centered on Youth Ministry in the local church, and she has served churches in Texas and Louisiana in the position of Youth Minister.  She has written extensively in the areas of youth Bible study curriculum, youth devotional materials, and youth worker leadership materials. She is a founding member of the National Youth Sunday School Associates Network. 

Academic Interests and Research

Educational principles of teaching and curriculum writing; administrative practices of Youth/Student ministers in the local church; cultivating students sensing a call to vocational Christian ministry; leadership principals in ministry and non-profit settings.
